I hope to invite the viewer to share in meditative moments where his or her own sense of the mystic or spiritual may rise for contemplation. Following advice that I give to my students, I sought to find the magic in my own space. I have explored the area outside my office door for years. Some of the results are shown here. I have also spent a lot of time living in Japan. My images attempt to speak about the heart-to heart relationships I've forged with students and colleagues, as well as my own mystic journeys involving Buddhism and Shinto.
